Have you ever loved someone so much that you just can’t help but smile every time you see them? That is exactly how this couples session went for Fred and Joseph.
The house we started in is called Susannah’s Watch, located in Mechanicsville, MD. This house is part of the Dixon Family Farm. This farm is a part of Fred’s family, and we knew it was the perfect spot for their session. From the moment I arrived at the farm, Fred and Joseph were full of energy and so excited to spend this time together and have their true love captured.
The inside of the house had the best aesthetic and perfectly matched Fred and Joseph. From the spiral staircase, to the pool table, to the record player and slow dancing together in the pool room—it was the perfect location to showcase that slow, romantic love.
After the house, we did a quick outfit change and headed out to the farm. Dixon Family Farm is known for its lavender fields and beautiful scenery. We started in the lavender fields, where Fred and Joseph shared a little picnic together and talked about their love for one another. We walked through the fields, enjoyed the smells, and soaked in the perfect weather.
From there, we made our way to the flower patch and roamed among the zinnias. The bees and butterflies were everywhere, making the moment even more magical. Fred and Joseph picked flowers for each other and enjoyed a sweet moment together in the wildflowers.
Our last stop at the farm was with the animals Fred helps take care of. The animals knew who Fred was the moment he and Joseph walked through the gates. We played with the donkeys while capturing candid moments of Fred and Joseph laughing and enjoying the moment together. Our final stop was with the bull on the property—and let me tell you, my favorite image from this session is the photo of Fred standing on the fence, looking at Joseph in the bull’s den area.
